Copying and research service
Our combined copying and research service can help you obtain copies of documents from our collections. Where consultation of original records is required, our fully trained staff can undertake research on your behalf. We answer enquiries about the content and extent of our collections without charge.
Digitisation service
We can digitise your or your organisation’s own records with our state of the art digitisation equipment. Our highly trained staff are experts at handling delicate historical records and your items will be safe in our secure archive stores while they are in our care. For more information see our digitising history service.
Photography service
You can take your own photographs of the documents you view in the record office search room. You can purchase a daily or an annual licence, entitling you to photograph documents for this period. An annual licence may also be purchased for use by groups. See our photography service for more information.
Loans
We are keen to encourage the use of the collects through loans to other organisations as this helps us reach a wider audience, while supporting the work of other heritage groups.
Services for depositors
We accept a wide range of archive collections for storage, preservation and public access. See our depositors page to find out more about our facilities and about transferring your records to us.
Services for data subjects
If you want access to information about yourself and you believe it is contained in the archives, please start by reading the data subjects in archives privacy notice.
