It's run nationally by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute and is government-backed. You can view the advice online, download guidance leaflets and register with the site to receive updates.
Derbyshire Trusted Trader scheme
Businesses can join the Derbyshire Trusted Trader scheme (if eligible) where, in addition to other benefits they will be entitled to up to 2 hours free advice per year.
Primary authority partnerships
If your business operates or sells products beyond Derbyshire, including online sales, you may be able to enter into a Primary Authority Partnership. Under the Primary Authority scheme, other regulators are unable to take enforcement action where you have followed specific advice provided by us.
D2N2 Growth Hub

Vision Derbyshire
The Vision Derbyshire business support scheme offers one-to-one advice to new start businesses based in Derbyshire who are within their first 12 months of trading. Grant funding is also available subject to meeting eligibility criteria.

Trading standards service fees
We charge fees for the verification and testing of weighing and measuring equipment and for petroleum and explosives licensing and registrations.
We also charge for providing business advice in certain circumstances.
