If you need advice to turn your idea into a reality or have already started trading (within the last 12 months), we're here to help you. If your business (including new social enterprises) is, or will be, based in Derbyshire or Derby City, this is your chance to get the support you need to succeed.

Our team of experienced local business advisers are ready to guide you every step of the way, completely free of charge. You'll get:
- mentoring business and financial planning
- marketing strategy support
- signposting to other suitable sources of support
Support available across Derbyshire
We're supporting start-ups in:
- Amber Valley
- Bolsover
- Chesterfield
- Derbyshire Dales
- Derby City
- High Peak
- North East Derbyshire
- South Derbyshire
If your business is, or will be, based in one of these districts, please complete our online form to register your interest in the business start-up programme.
Or you can email business@derbyshire.gov.uk with:
- your name, business address, email, and phone number
- a short description of your business or idea
- your current trading status (0 to 3 months, or 3 to 12 months trading)
Once you express your interest and your eligibility has been checked, we'll send you an enrolment form to complete further details. When we've received your completed enrolment form, a business adviser will contact you to arrange an initial appointment.
The Derbyshire Business Start-Up Support Scheme is funded by the East Midlands County Combined Authority's Shared Prosperity Fund.
