We use the national eligibility criteria detailed in the Care Act 2014 to assess whether you're eligible for care and support services.
Eligibility is based on identifying and meeting 3 criteria:
We call the ways you'll be supported to live your life and achieve what you want, outcomes. Any assessment will consider the following outcomes:
Eligibility is established on whether you can achieve the outcomes independently, without including any help you get from a family carer. Once your assessment is complete, we take any support you get from an unpaid carer in consideration when planning what support you need.
The full eligibility criteria is detailed in the Care and Support Statutory Guidance 2014 (Chapter 6 Eligibility).
