Support can include:
- help with budgeting and reducing debt
- support with tenancy related paperwork
- housing benefits claims and appeals
- setting up and managing utilities
- support to comply with the conditions of a tenancy and preventing tenancy breakdown
- help with moving to more appropriate accommodation
- health, wellbeing and safety advice
- support to manage risk or crisis
- signposting to welfare rights and other agencies

Mental health
This service offers personalised support enabling people with mental ill-health to maintain their home and be in control of their housing needs.
Eligibility: people aged 16 plus with a mental health need which impacts on their ability to manage their day-to-day lives.
Support period: up to a maximum of 12 months.
Referral route: professional or self-referral via P3. Derbyshire Independent Living Service has 5 drop-in navigators situated in Ripley, Buxton, Matlock, Ilkeston and Swadlincote. No appointment is necessary, but drop-in times vary between locations so please telephone: 01773 742051 for current times at your nearest service.
Adults
The Derbyshire Low Level Support Service empowers adults to maintain their independence and wellbeing at home.
Eligibility: people who are over 18, residing in Derbyshire (excluding Derby) and living in any housing tenure who need support to live and remain independently in their home.
Support period: Individuals can be supported for a period of up to 12 weeks.
Referral route: Both referrals from individuals and professionals are accepted.
