Non pesto sauce recipe

Replace classic pesto ingredients for bagged salad leaves, mixed nuts and cheddar offers a simple, tasty and cheap alternative.

1 big handful of mixed green leaf (such as rocket, watercress and spinach) - about 50g

1 large thumb-sized piece of cheese - about 25g

1 teaspoon of nuts

1 clove crushed garlic

50ml olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Blend all the ingredients in a food processor until combined to desired consistency.

Serve with loaded potato wedges.
