Community involvement - why get involved?

Are you concerned about issues that affect your quality of life?
Are you concerned about issues that affect your community?
Would you like to influence what is going on around you?
Do you find it difficult getting the information and services you need?
Do you have ideas that you would like to be heard?

If you answered yes to any of these questions you'll find that we have lots of ways you can get involved.

Other forums help us get the views of specific communities in the county.

For older people we have the 50+ forums and for minority communities the BME forums. For young people we have the Derbyshire Youth Council and school councils.

These are just a sample of the forums taking place in the county.

Or sign up to become a member of the Derbyshire Citizens' Panel where you will be asked to take part in regular surveys and meetings.

Community forums

Geographical communities are represented through local community forums, which cover a range of geographical community areas within Derbyshire.

The community forums are co-ordinated by us and the district and borough councils.

Find out more about community forums in your area from your district or borough council.
