Coronavirus recruitment

Has your working situation changed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic? Why not consider a job in care?

Community testing

Derbyshire is starting a community testing programme to help get COVID-19 in Derbyshire under control.

The testing will help people to protect their loved ones and will enable Derbyshire's public health team to understand the prevalence of people who are infected but without symptoms, support those who have COVID-19 to self-isolate and to drive infection rates down further in the county.

Apply now

Initially, we need people to carry out roles in South Derbyshire, Bolsover, Amber Valley, Derbyshire Dales and Chesterfield. However, the location of testing across Derbyshire may change over time. Roles currently include team leader, testing operative and site operative.

You can read more about the Derbyshire community testing programme.

Roles in care

We're always looking for people to join our team and help us make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people across Derbyshire.

Social work and occupational therapy

We're looking for passionate and committed social workers and occupational therapists to join our teams in Derbyshire. We offer excellent working conditions and you'll be fully supported in your role with good opportunities for development and progression.

We welcome and encourage applicants from a black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) background as well as newly qualified social workers.

Visit our jobs website to apply for our social work or occupational therapy roles.

Direct care roles

We're looking for people to join our direct care teams to help us support vulnerable people throughout the county. You'll be part of a team working together to support people living either in one of our establishments or in their own homes.

We have a number of full and part time vacancies at locations around Derbyshire. These posts include:

  • unit and deputy unit manager
  • senior care worker
  • care worker (residential and community)
  • domestic

You can apply for our direct care roles on our jobs website. We'll make sure you are supported and protected in these roles, with full personal protective equipment. For our care worker and domestic roles you don't need previous experience as training will be given, although this would be an advantage, particularly if you have worked in a caring profession previously.

Flexible direct care roles

We're also offering direct care roles which can offer flexibility in the amount of hours you work each week. In these roles you'll still need to be able to work usual care shift patterns (morning, afternoon, nights) but the number of shifts you work each week may vary. We're looking for:

Experience is needed for our relief senior care worker roles.
