Our pre-patching work includes planing out the road surface around existing potholes and laying a new surface in readiness for the surface dressing to be applied on top. The works create a smoother, hard wearing surface and a better overall finish, minimising inconvenience for local road users.
Where required, on rural roads, we will fix ruts along the edge of the road, known as 'over running', by using materials to build a deeper, stronger foundation to the damaged part of the road.
Roads we will pre-patch, including location and electoral division, during 2026/2027
This is the first part of our pre-patching programme for 2026/2027.
Further locations at other sites across the county, will be added once we have finalised the development of the 2027 surface dressing programme, and when traffic permits for the road closures required for the works have been processed.
The locations are shown in date order and include the location as well as details about the electoral division of the local county councillor.
The following dates and locations listed may change due to operational issues, weather conditions, issues found on site, and equipment faults.
Residents affected by the works will receive updates on our temporary on-street information boards.
We apologise for any delays or last-minute changes due to circumstances beyond our control.
Roads where pre-patching repairs will be carried out, listed in the order the works will take place.
