The following is a list of charges for overdue books.

Renew your library books

Branch libraries

Standard charge

  • 10p per item per day plus postage at the prevailing rate for posted reminders
  • maximum charge per item for each loan period: £7.50

Age 12 to 18

  • 5p per item per day plus postage at the prevailing rate for posted reminders
  • maximum charge per item for each loan period: £4

Children under 12

  • No charge

Mobile libraries

Standard charge

  • for each visit beyond the due date: 10p per item plus postage at the prevailing rate for posted reminders
  • maximum charge per item for each loan period: £7.50

Children aged 12 up to their 18th birthday

  • for each visit beyond due date, 5p per item plus postage at the prevailing rate for posted reminders
  • maximum charge per item for each loan period: £4

Children under 12

  • no charge
