Book and Borrow service

'Book and Borrow' is a service we introduced because of the coronavirus pandemic. Despite the easing of lockdown restrictions, it remains available should you prefer to use this service.

How this service works:

ring or email the library you want to collect books from to make an appointment. You'll be given a date and time for a collection slot. If you email please include a phone number so we can call you back to arrange a time
provide the name and library card number for each person who wants to borrow books, plus a phone number we can call you on
give information on the type of books you'd like, such as the genre, examples of authors, and the format, or you can opt for a ‘lucky dip’. There's a maximum of 10 items per person for each collection slot. Books will be issued for the standard 3 week period, and the usual charges apply
bring your library cards or card numbers for all the people you're collecting for, when visiting for your pre-booked slot
bring your own bags
