Alfreton Library

  • Computer Buddy sessions. Tuesday mornings, 10.15am and 11.15am: learn how to use a computer and other digital skills. Booking is essential. Contact library for details.
  • Craft and Chat. Once a month on Friday evening. Suitable for adults of any age, just drop in with your craft projects and feel free to bring refreshments. Contact library for details.

  • Silent Reading Circle - Introverts Unite! Bring your own book or choose a library book to sit and read quietly in our Meeting Room. No commitment, pressure or expectation. Bring your own warm drink in a sealed travel cup or flask. Wednesdays between 4pm and 5.45pm or Saturdays between 11am and 1.30pm.
  • Stitch and Save. Last Tuesday of the month from 2pm to 3.30pm. It's free of charge - just drop in. Learn how to bring new life to old clothes and fabric or try a simple sewing project. All materials are provided.

Come to our friendly sessions and add new life into your old clothes, re-use the fabric to make something new or try one of our simple sewing projects. Everything is provided or you can bring something along you that you'd like to recycle. Suitable for all levels even if you have never sewn before.
