We are currently experiencing large volumes of traffic at the weekends during the lunchtime peak period which is leading to queuing on the highway outside the site. If you are planning a visit over the weekend it would be helpful to time your visit to arrive outside the peak period, either between 8.30am to 10am or 4pm to 6pm.
A new parallel parking arrangement is in place. When driving in, please follow the directions of site staff who will guide you to the nearest available parking space.
Before you visit
Find out everything you need to know including when you can visit, what's accepted, important safety information on our recycling centre page.
You should:
- keep children and pets in cars
- keep your distance from others when on site
- sort your waste into different types before you arrive
- sanitise your hands before arrival and as you leave
- wear protective gloves, appropriate footwear and clothing
- stay at home if you have coronavirus symptoms
Register your vehicle to use the recycling centres
A high volume of visitors are accessing the registration system and it's running slower than usual. We're sorry for any problems this may cause.
Composting is a great way to turn your garden waste and kitchen scraps into a useful compost instead of taking it to our sites. We have advice to make the most of the food you have and there is further information on Love Food Hate Waste.
Opening times
- open 9:30am to 5pm daily
- closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day
The recycling centre may have to temporarily close to compact the skips with machinery or other unavoidable operational reasons. We'll keep closures to a minimum.
