Tips for using food leftover from Halloween.

Halloween can be a time of excess, but there are ways to make it a time of recycling food waste too.

Pumpkin carving is a great way to amuse the children but we often don’t know what to do with the leftovers.

Make spicy pumpkin soup and use up the seeds for a tasty snack. 



If you don’t want to make pumpkin soup, try roast pumpkin lasagne or a pumpkin tart.

Whatever you may have left can be used for home composting or put into your food waste collection.

A great idea for Halloween parties is to make toffee apples. Every day in the UK four million whole apples are thrown away! Make them by dipping apples into two melted tablespoons of sugar.
