Tips for using food leftover from Halloween.


Halloween can be a time of excess, but there are ways to make it a time of recycling food waste too.

Pumpkin carving is a great way to amuse the children but we often don’t know what to do with the leftovers.

Make spicy pumpkin soup and use up the seeds for a tasty snack.

If you don't want to make pumpkin soup, try roast pumpkin lasagne or a pumpkin tart.

Whatever you may have left can be used for home composting or put into your food waste collection.

A great idea for Halloween parties is to make toffee apples. Every day in the UK 4 million whole apples are thrown away! Make them by dipping apples into 2 melted tablespoons of sugar.
