Christmas can be a time of excess - but don't waste your leftovers this year, use our recipes to make the most of your festive fare.


We've plenty of tips to help you plan for Christmas as part of our food campaign. But even with the most careful planning you're bound to have some leftovers to use up.

We've put together some recipes for you to make the most of any leftover turkey and the last of the cranberries.

Here are our top tips for Christmas leftovers:

  • leftover turkey - transform it into a tasty curry
  • leftover hard cheeses, such as stilton and cheddar, are perfect for freezing - even the smallest of portions can be frozen and used in soups or sauces for extra flavour
  • freeze any cold meats leftover after Boxing Day, they'll be ideal for lunches in the new year
  • use up the last of the Christmas pudding by mixing it with vanilla ice cream for a delicious dessert
