Chocolate fridge cake recipe

Perfect to use up leftover Easter or Christmas chocolate. Or for anyone with a sweet tooth who wants an easy no-bake treat.

Ingredients

100g milk or dark chocolate

50g butter

Selection of broken biscuits or cereal

Optional

Leftover chocolate, marshmallows, dried fruit or jarred mincemeat.

Method

  1. Melt the chocolate and butter together on a low heat.
  2. Mix through your desired ingredients.
  3. Press the mix into a tray and chill for a couple of hours, then cut into pieces.

Variations

Use up any unsalted nuts, dried fruits, marshmallows, chocolate bars or soft sweets.

Try white chocolate chunks and dried cranberry, milk chocolate and honeycomb, dark chocolate, raisin and hazelnuts.
