Planning applications

We deal with planning applications relating to minerals and waste developments as well as applications for Derbyshire County Council development such as schools and libraries.

Derby City Council and the Peak District National Park deal with all planning applications including mineral and waste applications within their areas.

District and borough councils deal with all other types of planning applications.

1APP is the name for the national standard planning application forms for waste and county developments.

For more information about 1APP please go to the National Planning Portal.

Details of current applications under consideration by us and our recent decisions are available.

Where operations or developments are being carried out without permission then it may be necessary for us to take enforcement action to prevent or regulate the activities.

Please see the monitoring and enforcement section for further details.
