Derbyshire Citizens' Panel

A citizens' panel is a sample of residents who have volunteered to take part in a range of consultation exercises. The Derbyshire Citizens' Panel currently consists of approximately 4,000 residents from all around the county.

Members of Derbyshire Citizens' Panel are asked to take part in regular surveys and also occasionally invited to take part in focus groups.

Residents are asked to complete questionnaires on a range of local issues and services. In the past topics have included:

  • highways
  • crime and community safety
  • health
  • services for older people
  • physical activity
  • libraries
  • Trusted Trader

Join the Derbyshire Citizens' Panel

Would you like to join us and make sure your views are heard?

The panel is a group of Derbyshire residents who volunteer to express their views on our proposals and local services.

The panel includes people of all ages and all backgrounds to make sure that it represents the whole community. Members have to be over 16-years-old, but there are opportunities for younger people to get involved in other consultations.

Members of the Derbyshire Citizens' Panel may be asked to fill in questionnaires, take part in telephone surveys, participate in discussion groups or attend face to face meetings. An example of a survey a Citizens' Panel member can get involved in is attached to this page.
