The Belper and District 50+ Forum is a friendly and welcoming group for people aged 50 and over. We support local residents by providing information, opportunities to get involved, and a chance to meet others in the community. We also enjoy bringing older and younger generations together through a range of intergenerational activities that help build understanding, friendships and stronger community connections.
Being part of this group gives you the opportunity to:
- meet new people and build friendships
- stay informed about local services, events, and issues
- share your views and help influence decisions in your community
- learn something new and enjoy a range of activities
- feel more connected and involved
Our wider 50+ forum network is all about having fun, making a difference, and improving quality of life for people aged 50 and over.
What to expect at our meetings
Open forum meetings are held every quarter, with themes of health, security, safety and crime prevention. Each session typically includes:
- guest speakers covering a range of interesting and relevant topics
- fun quizzes and activities to keep things lively
- open discussions where you can share your views and hear from others
- refreshments provided, with time to chat and socialise
We also encourage members to contribute ideas, raise topics that matter to them, and take an active part in shaping the group.
