Youth work

If you're interested in working with young people to help them reach their full potential and you like being part of team, a work experience placement in our youth and community service could be right for you.


You'll need to be able to relate to people from all backgrounds and have patience and enthusiasm.

The tasks you may be involved in during your placement are:

  • helping to organise sports, arts, drama and other activities
  • taking part in projects which deal with issues such as health, bullying, crime or drugs
  • assisting with general record keeping

You'll learn what’s involved in youth work, communication skills and how to relate to people from all backgrounds.
