You will be part of a team ensuring people remain as independent as possible by supporting them with everyday tasks such as:
- eating meals
- maintaining hobbies or interests
- developing new skills
- accessing social opportunities
The apprentice posts are available in a range of settings including residential, day and extra care centres across the county. On successful completion you will gain a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care and have access to a wide range of job opportunities.

Apprenticeships are open to anyone over 16 - not just school leavers. So if you’re looking to change your career, you should consider this option.
You'll be employed on a fixed term contract for the duration of your apprenticeship.
During your employment you'll have the option to be enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme.
We pay the national minimum wage for age to apprentices:
- ages 16 to 17: £4.35
- ages 18 to 20: £6.15
- ages 21 to 24: £7.70
- ages 25 and over: £8.21
You'll be given paid annual holiday entitlement and 8 bank holidays per year.
You'll be working towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship.
You'll be given access to other relevant training for your apprenticeship.
