A summary of recent changes to bus services in Derbyshire.

From Sunday 29 October 2017

  • Services 4 and 4A (Arriva Midlands): Service 4A was replaced by additional journeys on Service 4. Derby Commercial Park is longer served, and daytime buses on Mondays to Saturdays no longer run between the city centre and Alvaston via Pride Park. A new timetable was introduced.
  • Service 7 (Arriva Midlands): The city centre terminus is now Babington Lane instead of the bus station, and a revised timetable was introduced.
  • Service 7.1 (Trent Barton): The Derby terminus was moved to Derwent Street, and a slightly revised timetable was introduced.
  • Service 7.2 (Trent Barton): A slightly revised timetable was introduced.
  • Service 39 (Stagecoach in Chesterfield): A revised Saturday timetable, with a reduced frequency, was introduced.
  • Service 54 (Stagecoach in Chesterfield): A revised timetable was introduced.
  • Service 55 (Stagecoach in Chesterfield): The Saturday morning timetable was slightly changed.
  • Service 56 (Stagecoach in Chesterfield): The Saturday morning timetable was slightly changed.
  • Service 61 (High Peak): Some minor changes were made to the Monday to Friday timetable.
  • Service 65 (High Peak, TM Travel): A revised timetable was introduced, run by High Peak. The route into Buxton is now via Dale Road.
  • Services 66 and 66A (Hulleys, G&J Holmes): A revised timetable was introduced, run by Hulleys. Weekday journeys now run between Buxton, Tideswell and Baslow, with connections to Chesterfield by Service 170. The route into Buxton is now via Dale Road. The Sunday timetable is unchanged apart from the route change in Buxton.
  • Service 68 (Hulleys): This service was withdrawn. Between Castleton and Tideswell an alternative bus now runs as Service 66A.
  • Service 78 (Hulleys): The Saturday service was withdrawn.
  • Services 82 and 83 (Stagecoach in Chesterfield): Minor changes were made to the timetable.
  • Service 119 (TM Travel): This service was replaced by a bus numbered 56A, run by Stagecoach.
  • Service 170 (Hulleys): The 0750 from Bakewell on Mondays to Saturdays no runs five minutes earlier.
  • Service 174 (Hulleys): The 0824 Baslow to Castleton bus was withdrawn.
  • Service 177 (Hulleys): This service was withdrawn.
  • Service 193 (High Peak): This service was withdrawn. On schooldays an alternative facility for most of the route is provided by new Service 65A.
  • Service 202 (High Peak): This service was replaced by similar journeys on Service 341, run by Stotts.
  • Service 216 (TM Travel): A revised timetable, run by Littles, was introduced.
  • Service 217 (TM Travel): A revised timetable, run by Littles, was introduced. Weekday journeys all now run via Hackney.
  • Service 237 (Stagecoach Manchester): Some buses were slightly re-timed in places.
  • Service 341 (High Peak): This service was taken over by Stotts, with a revised timetable including some journeys replacing Service 202.
  • Service 394 (High Peak): A revised timetable was introduced.
  • Service F1 (Arriva Midlands): This service was changed to additionally serve the Pride park and ride, and the timetable was revised.
  • Service H1 (Trent Barton): Some journeys from Heanor to Derby were slightly re-timed.
  • Service M1 (G&J Holmes): A revised timetable was introduced.
  • Service M3 (G&J Holmes): This service was withdrawn, but Service 217 was revised to provide a replacement service for Hackney.
  • Service M4 (G&J Holmes): A revised timetable was introduced.
  • Services SFb and SFg (Trent Barton 'Spondon Flyer' blue and green): All journeys now run via the 'Green' route. A revised timetable was introduced, with some weekday frequency reductions but an improved Sunday service.
  • Service SKY (Kinchbus 'Skylink'): An amended timetable was introduced to allow for some long-running roadworks.
  • Service SKY-N (Trent Barton 'Skylink Nottingham'): An amended timetable was introduced to allow for some long-running roadworks.

From Sunday 17 September 2017

  • Service 6 (Notts & Derby): A slightly revised timetable was introduced on this Unibus service, supplemented by some direct buses numbered 6X.
  • Service 7 (Notts & Derby): This new Unibus service now runs from the Kedleston Road campus via Queensway, Ashbourne Road, Bridge Street and Kedleston Road back to the campus. It runs up to three times an hour during the daytime on Mondays to Friday in term-time.

From Sunday 3 September 2017

  • Service 11 (Notts & Derby): A revised timetable was introduced, particularly affecting schooldays.
  • Services 12 and 12A (Notts & Derby): The route of these services was revised to serve Asda in Long Eaton (in both directions); there were some timetable changes too.
  • Services 26 and 26A (TM Travel): An extensively revised timetable was introduced.
  • Service 43 (Stagecoach in Chesterfield): A revised timetable with some increased frequencies was introduced.
  • Service 43A (Stagecoach in Chesterfield): This service was withdrawn.
  • Services 44 and 44A (Stagecoach in Chesterfield): Service 44A was withdrawn; Service 44 now has a revised timetable, with many journeys running via the A61 instead of via Old Whittington.
  • Service 55 (Stagecoach in Chesterfield): A new timetable was introduced.
  • Service 56 (Stagecoach in Chesterfield): A new timetable was introduced.
  • Service 72 (Stagecoach in Chesterfield): All journeys were slightly re-timed.
  • Service 216 (TM Travel): A temporary route and timetable was introduced for the duration of a road closure (about seven weeks).
  • Services 236 and 237 (Stagecoach Manchester): The Monday to Friday timetable was revised in the late afternoon and early evening.
  • Services 271 and 272 (First South Yorkshire): Some minor changes were made to the timetable.
  • Service PRO (Stagecoach in Mansfield 'Pronto'): Sunday buses now run via Spital in Chesterfield.
  • Service ROY (Trent Barton 'Royal Derby'): The Saturday service was withdrawn.

From Sunday 28 August 2017

  • Services 4, 9, 19, 21 and 22 (Midland Classic): Revised timetables were introduced to allow for the temporary closure of St Peter's Bridge in Burton.

From Sunday 7 August 2017

  • Service 14 (Yourbus): This service was been extended to serve Nelson Street in Ilkeston, with some minor timetable changes.

From Sunday 23 July 2017

  • Service 15A (Trent Barton): This service was withdrawn, but the revised Service 21 offers alternative journeys.
  • Service 21 (Trent Barton): This service was revised to serve Marlpool and Heanor (in place of Service 23) and the route in Kirk Hallam was revised. A new timetable, with more buses, was introduced.
  • Service 23 (Trent Barton): This service was withdrawn, but the revised Service 21 offers alternative journeys.
  • Service SWI (Trent Barton 'Swift') Some journeys were re-timed to run 10 minutes later than previously.

From Sunday 9 July 2017

  • Services 20, 21, i4, IGO ('Indigo'), SKY-N ('Skylink Nottingham') and Y5 now run to and from alternative stops in Nottingham, because of the closure of Broadmarsh Bus Station for re-building. Changes have been made to the timetables of some of these services.

From Sunday 2 July 2017

  • Services 9 and 9A (Littles): These services now run to and from Morledge (stop C8) in Derby city centre, instead of the Bus Station.
  • Services 17 and 17 (Notts & Derby): These services now run to and from Albert Street in Derby city centre, instead of the Bus Station.
  • Service 114 (Yourbus): Buses to Ashbourne now pick up in Morledge in Derby city centre, instead of the Bus Station.
