Recent changes to bus services

A summary of recent changes to bus services in Derbyshire.

From Sunday 11 November 2018

  • Service 170 (Hulleys): The Sunday timetable was extensively revised.  An extra bus now runs on Saturday mornings.

From Sunday 4 November 2018

  • Services 26 and 26A (Stagecoach Yorkshire): A revised timetable was introduced.
  • Service X17 (Stagecoach Chesterfield):  The 8:15pm Barnsley to Chesterfield bus (on Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays) was re-timed to run 33 minutes later, and now continues as the 10:20pm bus to Matlock. On Sundays the 3:10pm bus from Matlock now terminates at Sheffield.

From Sunday 28 October 2018

  • Service 1A (Arriva Midlands): A very minor change was made to the early morning timetable.
  • Service 2 (Arriva Midlands): This service now runs via Maple Drive in Chellaston, and the timetable was revised.
  • Services 2A, 2B and 2C (Arriva Midlands): These services now have revised routes and timetables.
  • Service 4 (Arriva Midlands): The section of route between Alvaston and the city centre via London Road and Pride Park is no longer served. The evening timetable was revised.
  • Services 5 and 5A (Arriva Midlands): The evening timetables were curtailed.
  • Service 6·1 (Trent Barton): The Sunday timetable was slightly revised. ‘Little Sixes’ journeys no longer serve Bournebrook Avenue in Wirksworth, or County Hall in Matlock, and were slightly re-timed.
  • Service 7 (Arriva Derby): A revised timetable, with reduced early morning and late afternoon services, was introduced.
  • Service 38 (Arriva Derby): The Sunday evening service was reduced.
  • Service 81 (TM Travel): The afternoon timetable was revised to suit school time changes.
  • Service BC (Trent Barton ‘Black Cat’): The 7am bus from Derby on Mondays to Fridays was re-timed to run 5 minutes later.
  • Service CMT (Trent Barton ‘Comet’): The timetable was revised, with some extra evening buses. There were some changes to the stopping places too.
  • Service F1 (Arriva Midlands): A revised timetable, with reduced early morning and late afternoon services, was introduced.
  • Service H1 (Trent Barton): The daytime service on weekdays is now more frequent, but the late-night service was reduced.
  • Service IGO (Trent Barton ‘Indigo’): The evening service was slightly revised.

From Sunday 7 October 2018

  • Service 49 (TM Travel): The 1441 bus from Clowne was re-timed to run 15 minutes earlier between Clowne and Bolsover School, and the route was amended in Palterton on school day journeys.

From Sunday 30 September 2018

  • Service 35 (Notts & Derby): This service was extended to serve Heatherton Village, with some minor timetable changes.
  • Service IF (Trent Barton ‘Ilkeston Flyer’): The limited-stop restrictions were removed (the route and timetable were not changed).

From Sunday 2 September 2018

  • Services 1 and 1A (Yourbus): An extensively revised timetable was introduced.
  • Service 4 (Midland Classic): Some minor changes were made to the timetable.
  • Service 8 (Midland Classic): This service no longer runs via Fairfield Crescent in Newhall, and off-peak buses were extended to serve Goseley Estate. The timetable was revised.
  • Service 8 (Arriva Midlands): The route of this service was slightly changed in Mackworth Estate, but the timetable was unchanged.
  • Service 9 (Arriva Midlands): This service will longer runs to Radbourne Lane and the Langley Country Park, and follows a new route around Mackworth Estate, with a new timetable.
  • Service 9 (Midland Classic): Some minor changes were made to the afternoon timetable.
  • Service 10 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): The daytime frequency was increased after the end of the reduced ‘summer’ timetable period.
  • Service 19 (Midland Classic): Some minor changes were made to the afternoon timetable.
  • Service 21 (Midland Classic): Some minor changes were made to the timetable.
  • Service 25 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): Some minor timetable changes were made, and the Sunday service was enhanced with some journeys numbered 25A (not via Devonshire Road North).
  • Service 43 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): Most Sunday buses were re-timed by a few minutes.
  • Services 50, 50A and 50B (Stagecoach Chesterfield): An amended timetable was introduced.
  • Service 51 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): Some minor changes were made to the timetable.
  • Service 54 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): A revised timetable was introduced.
  • Service 55/X55 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): Some minor changes were made to the timetable. The route of the X55 college bus was changed.
  • Services 56/X56 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): The X56 college buses were withdrawn.
  • Services 70/71/71A/72 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): The Sunday 71/71A journeys were re-timed by up to 10 minutes, and there were some other minor timetable changes too.
  • Services 73/74 (Stagecoach Yorkshire): The Monday to Friday timetable was revised.
  • Service 75 (Stagecoach Yorkshire): The Monday to Friday timetable was revised.
  • Service 77 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): In Creswell these buses now run via Skinner Street in both directions, and do not serve Regors.
  • Service 80 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): Some late afternoon/early evening buses were re-timed by 5 minutes.
  • Services 82 and 83 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): The 82A journeys via Palterton were replaced by buses following the normal 82 route. Some journeys were slightly re-timed.
  • Service 91 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): The Sunday evening service was re-timed to run 15 minutes later than previously.
  • Service 218 (TM Travel): A revised timetable was introduced.
  • Services 236 and 237 (Stagecoach Manchester): The standard Monday to Friday timetable replaced the ‘summer’ one. Most Sunday buses were re-timed by 5 to 8 minutes.
  • Service 272 (First South Yorks/Hulleys/TM Travel): The early morning timetable was revised; the journeys run by TM Travel were withdrawn, and some additional First South Yorkshire buses now run instead.
  • Service 358 (Stagecoach Manchester): The standard Monday to Friday timetable was reintroduced in place of the ‘summer’ one.
  • Service 401 (Midland Classic): The Monday to Friday morning service was slightly changed, and the Saturday afternoon service now finishes earlier.
  • Services B2 and B3 (TM Travel): These local Bolsover services were withdrawn.
  • Service BC (Trent Barton ‘Black Cat’): A revised timetable was introduced.
  • Service i4 (Trent Barton): A slightly revised timetable was introduced.
  • Service RA (Trent Barton ‘Red Arrow’): A revised timetable was introduced, mostly affecting late night and early morning buses.
  • Service SF (Trent Barton ‘Spondon Flyer’): The Sunday morning timetable was revised.
  • Service V1 (Trent Barton ‘Villager’): A revised timetable was introduced.
  • Service V3 (Trent Barton ‘Villager’): Some afternoon buses were re-timed.
  • Service X17 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): The late afternoon timetable on Mondays to Fridays was slightly changed, with an extra bus from Sheffield to Chesterfield.
  • Service X30 (TM Travel): This new service now provides a morning journey from Killamarsh into Sheffield, with an afternoon return bus, on Mondays to Fridays.

From Sunday 22 July 2018

  • Service 10 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): A revised timetable with reduced frequencies was introduced for the summer period (until 1 September).
  • Service 11 (Notts & Derby): The daytime service on Mondays to Saturdays was withdrawn. (The evening and Sunday buses run by Yourbus continue unchanged.)
  • Services 12 and 12A (Notts & Derby): These services were revised as an hourly service between Derby and New Sawley; additional journeys run between Derby and Borrowash as Service X12.
  • Service 16 (D&G Bus): The Sunday service was revised, reverting to 2 journeys each way to and from Buxton.
  • Service 20 (Yourbus): All Sunday journeys were re-timed to run 10 minutes earlier than previously.
  • Service 26 (Yourbus): Most Sunday journeys were re-timed to run 10 minutes earlier.
  • Service 65 (High Peak): The High Peak Buses service was reduced to two journeys each way (Monday to Saturday only), running via Waterswallows and Wormhill.  A new Service 65 operated by Stagecoach Chesterfield was introduced, running a more frequent service (including Sundays).
  • Service 66 (Hulleys): Some additional buses now run, operated by Stagecoach Chesterfield.
  • Service 199 (High Peak): The Sunday service was revised, no longer serving Peak Dale, with some journeys running via the Fairfield Estate.
  • Services 236 and 237 (Stagecoach Manchester): Some minor timetable changes will be in force until 1 September on Mondays to Fridays.
  • Service 358 (Stagecoach Manchester): Some minor timetable changes are now in force until early September, on Mondays to Fridays.
  • Services M1 and M4 (Stagecoach in Chesterfield ‘Matlockbus’): These services no longer serve Matlock Rail Station Interchange. A revised timetable (with an extra bus to Hurst Farm) was introduced.
  • Service R1 (Trent Barton ‘Rainbow One’ and ‘Rapid One’): A revised timetable was introduced, with more ‘Rainbow One’ buses to and from Ripley.
  • Service SKY (Kinchbus ‘Skylink’): Some minor changes were made to the timetable.
  • Service SKY-N (Trent Barton ‘Skylink Nottingham’): Some minor changes were made to the timetable.
  • Service TP (High Peak ‘Transpeak’): This service was withdrawn between Buxton and Manchester. A revised timetable was introduced between Derby and Buxton, and the route is now via Harpur Hill.
  • Service X17 (Stagecoach Chesterfield): Minor changes were made to the timetable between Matlock, Chesterfield and Sheffield. Many journeys were extended to Barnsley, but this does not include the buses serving Matlock (except on Sundays).
