Forthcoming changes to bus services

A summary of forthcoming changes to bus services in Derbyshire.


New timetables for revised services are published in the timetable library as soon as possible.

Easter Holiday bus service arrangements

On Good Friday, 19 April 2019, most bus services in Derbyshire will run to the Saturday timetables. Normal Friday services will run on routes operated by Hulleys, Trent Barton, Notts & Derby, Kinchbus and Yourbus, and on Stagecoach services M1 and M4 in Matlock, but services operated by High Peak will run to the Sunday timetables.

On Easter Monday, 22 April 2019, all services will run to the Sunday timetables.

From Sunday 28 April 2019 

  • Service 4 (Midland Classic): An hourly Saturday service will be introduced.
  • Services 8 and 8H (Midland Classic): Some minor amendments will be made to the timetable.
  • Service 9 (Midland Classic): Some minor amendments will be made to the timetable.
  • Service 19 (Midland Classic): Some minor changes will be made to the timetable, and the schooldays 19S journeys will no longer run.
  • Services 236 and 237 (Stagecoach Manchester): A revised timetable will be introduced.
  • Services 358 (Stagecoach Manchester): A revised timetable will be introduced.

From Saturday 25 May 2019 

  • Service 351 (South Pennine CT): A Saturday service will be introduced, leaving Holmfirth at 0815 and 1515 and Glossop at 0900 and 1600.

From Sunday 26 May 2019 

  • Services 6·1, 6·2, 6·3, 6·4 and 6.X (Trent Barton ‘Sixes’): A revised timetable will be introduced, with an increased service between Derby and Belper via Duffield. Some changes will be made to some routes.
  • Services 7.1 and 7.2 (Trent Barton ‘Sevens’): These services will be taken over by Notts & Derby, with the same routes and timetables but running as Services 71 and 72.
  • Service 21 (Trent Barton): This service will be amended to run via Queen Elizabeth Way in Kirk Hallam.
  • Service 25 (Trent Barton): This service will be withdrawn completely.

From Sunday 21 July 2019 

  • Services 215 and 218 (TM Travel): Service 215 will be withdrawn and replaced by some extra journeys on Service 218. Some 218 buses will be changed to run via Calver.
