Derbyshire Wayfarer bus ticket

Until March 2024 a subsidised price is in place as follows:

The Derbyshire Wayfarer Ranger bus and train ticket
Derbyshire Wayfarer is the ideal ticket for exploring Derbyshire by bus and train.
Tickets cost:
- £15.40 for an adult
- £7.70 for a child under 16 or a holder of a Gold Card or other English National Concessionary Travel Scheme (ENCTS) pass
- £27.70 for a group of up to 2 adults and up to 3 children
Spectrum
Spectrum is a multi-operator bus travel ticket for Derby, which allows unlimited bus travel from 5am until midnight on most Arriva, trentbarton, Kinch and Notts and Derby buses within the Derby city area.
Adult, b_line and child cards are available from the bus station information office, open from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and from 8.30am to 1pm on Saturday. Once you have purchased your first Spectrum card you can top up on participating bus services.
Spectrum cannot be used on services 6X, X38, 'Comet', 'Red Arrow' or on special football buses and cannot be used on trentbarton buses before 5am.
Stagecoach Yorkshire and Chesterfield
Stagecoach Gold DayRider and MegaRider
Stagecoach's Gold DayRider ticket is valid for one day's travel on all Stagecoach buses and trams (except Stagecoach Manchester services) in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire Gainsborough, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire.
Gold DayRider tickets are sold on their buses, online or on their app
- adults £7.80 each
- children £5 each
- group £20 (any 5 people)
A 7-day version of the ticket is valid within the same area and is sold online, on app, or on their buses at £25.50 each.
Stagecoach Silver DayRider and MegaRider tickets
- adults - £5.60 (£5.50 on app)
- children with a valid b_line 1 or 2 card - £3.40
- group £15 (any 5 people)
This gives a day's travel on all Stagecoach buses and Supertram across South Yorkshire, Pontefract, Wakefield, Bawtry, Oldcotes, Blyth, Ranskill, Chesterfield, Killamarsh and as far as Mastin Moor, Hillstown, Heath, Holmewood, Tibshelf, Morton, Mickley, Clay Cross, Kelstedge and Holymoorside.
A 7-day version of the ticket is valid within the same area and is sold online, on app, or on their buses at £18 each.
The cheaper Dayrider ticket (£5 adult on bus) is valid in a smaller area within Chesterfield.
Tickets are sold on Stagecoach in Chesterfield buses, online or on the app and also available as a 7-day option. Each ticket is also available as 28-day option online.

Stagecoach Manchester
The Stagecoach Manchester Day Rider and Mega Rider tickets are valid for travel on all Stagecoach Manchester buses in Greater Manchester and services 237, 358 and 360 in Derbyshire.
Day Rider Tickets
Tickets valid for travel for one day and are sold on Stagecoach Manchester buses and on their app:
- adults £5.30
- Plus One £7.20 (for one adult and one child up to the age of 16)
- group £11 (up to 2 adults and 3 children up to the age of 16)
- Flexi 5 £21.20 (5 adult Day Rider tickets for the price of 4)
Mega Rider Tickets
Tickets valid for travel for 7 days and are sold on Stagecoach Manchester buses, online and on their app:
A child cross boundary Mega Rider priced at £10 for 7 days, is available to b_line holders on services 237, 358 and 360 for travel in Derbyshire and Greater Manchester.

trentbarton mango app and Zig Zag
The pay as you go mango app gives the best value for trentbarton countywide day travel in Derbyshire and has rolling caps for longer periods. Search 'my mango' on the App Store or Google Play to download mango for free.
Touch on touch off contactless travel is also available (adult fares only) with appropriate day caps depending on when you travel.
ZigZag and ZigZag Plus paper tickets are available from drivers on the first bus you travel on. They can be paid for using cash or card and are unlimited day travel tickets.
ZigZag Plus is valid throughout trentbarton, including on night buses after midnight and for travel on the 'skylink Derby' service to East Midlands Airport, Loughborough and Leicester.
ZigZag allows travel anywhere across trentbarton services except on 'skylink Derby' and X38 journeys operated by Arriva. It can be purchased from the bus driver after 9am from Monday to Friday and after 4am at weekends and bank holiday Mondays. It can then be used for the rest of the day until midnight.
trentbarton ticket machines allow you to travel using your contactless card or device.
TM Travel U-GO Daysavers
The U-GO Daysaver ticket is valid for unlimited travel for one day on all TM buses (except Peak District services 142, 150 and 218 and dedicated school and college services).
The U-GO Daysaver ticket prices:
- adults £5
- children and b_line card holders £3.50
The U-GO DaysaverPlus ticket also includes the Peak District services.
The U-GO DaysaverPlus ticket prices:
- adults £7.50
- children and b_line card holders £5
- students £6
- group (any 5 people) £18
All tickets are only available from the bus driver on the day of travel.

High Peak Buses
Peak Plus
The Peak Plus network ticket is valid on all services operated by High Peak except Transpeak between Matlock Bath and Derby, to Alton Towers on service X99, or on service 114 between Quarndon Church and Derby.
Peak Plus costs:
- £7.50 adult
- £5 child
- £17 for a family ticket (up to 2 adults and 3 children aged under 16 or 2 adults and 2 children aged under 16 and one dog)
The adult and family Peak Plus can be purchased as an M-Ticket or from the bus driver, a child Peak Plus ticket can be purchased from the bus driver.
Peak Plus Xtra
The Peak Plus Xtra day ticket is available in conjunction with TM Travel and is valid on all services operated by High Peak and TM Travel Services within Derbyshire, including travel to and from Macclesfield, Derby, Buxton and Matlock and travel with TM Travel to Sheffield.
The 'PeakPlus Extra' costs:
- adults £12.50
- children £8
- family £23 for up to 2 adults and 3 children aged under 16 or 2 adults and 2 children aged under 16 and one dog)
The Peak Plus ticket can only be purchased on the bus.

Greater Manchester Wayfarer
Transport for Greater Manchester's Wayfarer ticket is valid for one day's travel on most buses, Metrolink trams and trains in the Greater Manchester area and into the Peak District as far as Ashbourne, Matlock and Crich. Trains and trams cannot be used before 9.30am on Monday to Friday.
Tickets cost £15.20 for an adult. Child and concession tickets are also available.
Tickets are available in the area covered from Pay Point retailers including Transport for Greater Manchester travel shops, staffed railway stations and train conductors, up to 3 days in advance.
Arriva Day Saver ticket
Arriva Midlands offer a variety of day tickets, valid for one day's travel on Arriva Midlands services and sold on their buses.
East Midlands Day Ranger
The East Midlands Day Ranger is a train rover ticket, valid for unlimited travel on local trains in the East Midlands area after 9am on Monday to Friday and all day on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays. The area of validity includes:
