Apply for a Gold Card

If this is your first application for a Gold Card you can apply in one of several ways.


Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Although some districts and borough councils are currently closed to the public, they can still process new Gold Card applications and renewals.

To apply for an age related Gold Card during this lockdown period, you can either apply online or by post to your district or borough council. You can also renew your card online or by phoning your local district or borough council.

To apply for a disability related Gold Card please apply by post to your district or borough council. To renew your card please phone your district or borough council.

Online

If you're applying for your first Gold Card because of age you can complete the application form and upload your photograph online. Checks will be carried out to verify your age. You cannot apply for a Gold Card online if you're applying because of a disability. You'll need to contact your local district, borough or Derby City Council.

Ask your local district, borough or Derby City Council for an application form. Or pick one up from any Derbyshire library.

Send your completed application form, a recent, colour, standard passport-sized photograph with your name and address written on the back and a photocopy of your proof documents, not originals, to your local district, borough or Derby City Council.
