NHS Gambling Harms Service
A free NHS service has been launched to offer specialist treatment and support to people in the East Midlands who are struggling with a gambling problem.
The East Midlands Gambling Harms Service, based in Derby, provides specialist therapies, treatment and recovery to those affected by gambling addiction and gambling problems in Derbyshire.
You can get help either face-to-face, over the phone, or online. Any Derbyshire resident wishing to access support can visit East Midlands Gambling Harms Service or telephone: 0300 013 2330.
National Gambling Helpline - a 24-hour service
The National Gambling Helpline gives confidential information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms in England, Scotland and Wales. You can speak with an adviser one-to-one over the phone or on live chat 24-hours-per-day, every day of the year, telephone: 0808 8020 133.
GamCare also offer a live chat option.
Gambling support for affected others
Research suggests that for every person experiencing gambling problems, 6 to 10 others are directed or indirectly impacted.
GamFam provide practical tools and recovery support for affected others.
Money and debt advice
Citizens Advice is a UK charity offering free, confidential and independent advice to help people deal with everyday problems. If you're worried about your gambling, or concerned for someone else's gambling, and need advice about money including how your bank can help, what software is available to block gambling websites or if you are struggling with debt, you can get help with gambling problems.
Samaritans
A lot of people experiencing gambling harms suffer with poor mental health. If you are struggling with your mental health, you can call the Samaritans free helpline. Telephone: 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from all mobiles and landlines.
Gamblers Anonymous
