Quality conversations training

How to have better conversations around mental health.

Quality conversations training will help participants develop more confidence for everyday conversations with people around mental health.


Funded by Joined Up Care Derbyshire, this half-day training is for staff and volunteers from statutory, community and voluntary sector organisations, working in Derbyshire county or Derby city.

It is available as both a virtual (online interactive) and face-to-face course.

Registration and booking of places is through Eventbrite.

The course is designed to enable participants to:

  • learn how to start conversations about wellbeing, mental health, and helpful ways to respond
  • develop more confidence in everyday interactions around people's wellbeing
  • learn mental health conversation skills for your working life - and life away from work
