Mental Health First Aid training

The Mental Health First Aid training we and Derby City Council offer is licensed by MHFA England.

These training courses teach you how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue.

The training courses we offer to those who meet our free-place criteria vary from half-day to 2-days in length and include the following:

  • Adult Mental Health First Aid (2 days)
  • Youth Mental Health First Aid (2 days)
  • Become Youth Mental Health Aware (half-day)
  • MHFA Refresher (half-day)
  • Youth MHFA Refresher (half-day)

Participants must be over 18 to attend.

If a place is available you will receive an email from our training provider Derbyshire Adult Community Education Service (DACES). This includes joining instructions, and a link for you to register with MHFA England.

DACES are delivering the training but to access a training place and to receive the course resources, you must also register with MHFA England via the link they provide.
