Support for care homes across Derbyshire

On the 14 May 2020 the Minister of State for Care, Helen Whatley, wrote to all councils with responsibility for social care requiring them to provide a care home support plan by the 29 May 2020.

The plans cover all care homes within the local authority's area including those run by private companies, charities, the independent sector and by councils and include what councils are doing to support care homes through the pandemic and the local sector's future plans.

Our care home support plan and covering letter are attached to this page.

The plan covers the extensive work that has already taken place in care homes in Derbyshire, the commitment of the local sector to provide the best care possible for people in extraordinary times and we have worked together to support the wellbeing of care home residents. It also includes information about where there have been challenges and areas to develop moving forwards.
