Care home fee levels

The interim standard and quality premium fee levels we will pay to care homes throughout Derbyshire. A consultation is currently taking place about a further fee increase.


Some homes may decide to charge a higher rate, in which case the difference would need to be met by an agreed third party contribution, normally paid by a family member or carer.

Figures from April 2018.

Residential care

Older people residential care fees

Standard rate: £513.45 per week, quality premium £536.20 per week.

Physical disability (under 65 years) residential care fees

Standard rate: £586.18 per week, quality premium £608.93 per week.

Learning disability residential care fees

Standard rate: £529.41, quality premium £552.16 per week.

Nursing care

Older people, mental ill health, drug and alcohol nursing care fees

Standard rate: £706.40, quality premium £729.15 per week.

Physical disability (under 65 years) nursing care fees

Standard rate: £736.99 per week, quality premium £759.74 per week.

Learning disability nursing care fees

Standard rate: £680.15 per week, quality premium £702.90 per week.

Dementia premium payment

Residential and nursing: £42.84 per week.
