Joining the library online
Libraries are currently closed due to the Coronavirus outbreak, but you can still join the library online.
Once you have joined you will receive an automated email with a temporary number, which can't be used to access services. You will be emailed with your permanent library number within 10 working days, you can use this to access our wide range of ebooks, eaudiobooks, emagazines and enewspapers.
If you have any questions or queries about the joining process please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Call into your local library
We'll normally need to see a form of identification with your name and address on before we can give you a library ticket.
The documents we accept as proof of identification are:
- driving licence
- bank statement
- building society book
- Post Office savings book
- welfare benefits book
- pension book
- bus pass
- receipted bills
- council tax demand
- medical card
Just take one of these documents along to your nearest library and you'll be issued with a library ticket. If you have any more questions about how to join, our staff will be happy to help.
If you think you're already a library member but have lost your ticket, please contact your local library for a replacement.
You're never too young to join the library.
Children under 13 years old
