How it works
Choose a book or theme to read for your next meeting. If you want everyone to read the same book we'd suggest that you use our online catalogue to check that we have enough copies in stock before ordering. You can ask for any book which has been in stock for more than 12 months.
You may want to try new ways of reading, for example, everyone reading different books on the same theme or reading different titles by the same author. You may also want to consider using our free ebook and e-audio services or sign up to our free e-newsletter. Please request your books 4 weeks before the required date of the meeting.
If you'd like multiple copies of the same book, library staff will need to place your requests for you, as multiple copies can't be ordered online. You can order your titles at the library either via email, phone or in person. We'd suggest that you give at least 2 titles to enable staff to assess which title will be available in multiple copies in time for the meeting. You'll need to give the staff your library card number, the title(s) and author(s), quantities required and date of the meeting.
Library staff will contact the named person on the ticket when the books are ready for collection.
After the meeting the books can be returned to any library, either at the counter or via the self-service machines, they don't need to be returned together.
