The service is for anyone who can’t visit a library and does not have anyone who can borrow and return items for them. This could be due to:
- disability
- limited mobility
- illness
- caring responsibilities
How it works
When you apply for the service, we'll contact you to talk about your needs, and find out what you like to read and listen to.
One of our home library assistants will then visit you once every 4 weeks. They will not come into your home, so please get items ready for return prior to the delivery date, and exchanges will always be at the door.
We deliver to people in their own home as well as those in care homes.
If you have any questions, please email ask.library@derbyshire.gov.uk
