Renew and reserve library items
In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, protecting staff and all Derbyshire residents is our top priority, so until further notice all of our libraries and mobile libraries are closed to the public.
We have a variety of free digital resources available to all customers including eBooks, eMagazines, eAudiobooks and eNewspapers.
Any books currently on loan will be automatically renewed throughout the closure period and no fines will be applied.
We are unable to make any reservations or inter library loans at this time. We will keep any previously requested items for you to collect once libraries re-open.
Renew your library items
Accessing your library account online
You can access your library account online:
- If you have a purple library card, just type the number into the user ID box
- b_line and Gold Cards need to be activated at your local library in order to be used as library cards
Your PIN is usually the first 2 digits and the last 2 digits of your date of birth. So, if you were born on 3 February 1970, your PIN would be 0370. You can change your PIN once you're logged into 'My Account' by using the 'change PIN' option.
