Trees and woodlands

We can provide advice and guidance on tree and woodland management for Derbyshire residents.

As well as caring for trees and woodlands on our own estate, we also work alongside private landowners and partnership organisations to manage trees and woodlands on private property and within the wider landscape throughout the county.

Most enquiries we receive relate to the management of trees beside roads and footpaths. If you are concerned about a tree in one of these settings, please visit our corresponding tree management pages first for further information and options for reporting:

If you own a tree or woodland protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) you can apply for permission to carry out work on the affected trees, or enquire about creating a new TPO.
