Derbyshire's Heartwood Community Forest

DHCF_Logo

We're looking for farmers, businesses, councils and other landowners with space available to plant trees as part of Derbyshire's Heartwood Community Forest.

Heartwood makes tree and hedgerow planting simple for landowners across the county. We handle everything from start to finish from design and planning through to planting. Fully funded through government grants, completely tailored to your needs and expertly delivered by our team who will support you every step of the way.

Grants are available to support a range of different woodland options, from small-scale and low-density tree planting to large multi-use woodlands extending more than 5 hectares. Take a look at the scale and type of planting available.

The forest is being created along the eastern and north-eastern fringe of Derbyshire, through southern Derbyshire, joining the National Forest and linking an existing network of 15 Community Forests, which are located in and around large towns and cities.

Our vision is to create a thriving network of trees, woodlands and hedgerows, delivering a lasting legacy of benefits for our communities, environment and economy.

If you have land available and would like to find out more about getting involved, please contact us to register your interest. We'll be in touch to discuss further details and next steps.
