The course is open to anyone, of any age, who is volunteering or is interested in volunteering within Derbyshire. No previous qualifications or experience are required to join the course and the training is accessible to all.
Participants will explore:
- equality, diversity and inclusion
- keeping yourself and others safe
- health and safety
- person centred approach
On completion of the volunteer passport, participants will receive a certificate of achievement from the NCFE, and an identification badge.
The volunteer passport is jointly funded and co-ordinated by adult care and children's services, in continued partnership with the voluntary sector. There is one Derbyshire Volunteer Passport course for people volunteering with adults or children or both.
Courses are held across Derbyshire in partnership with volunteer centres and CVSs.
Agencies within Derbyshire are welcome to book a course. Either email passport@derbyshire.gov.uk or contact their local volunteer centre or CVS to arrange their place.
Individuals can also register their interest in attending a course.
