Information about school allocation in the 2026 to 2027 academic year.


For applications for admissions into reception classes in infant and primary schools for the 2026 to 2027 academic year we were able to offer 93.6% of parents their first preference, and 98.2% one of their 3 preferences. For transfer from infant schools to junior schools 97.5% were offered their first preference and 98% one of their 3 preferences.

Figures for the 2026 to 2027 academic year include allocations for Derbyshire children offered places in out county schools as a result of full co-ordination between local authorities for reception and junior intake applications.

This information is provided as a guide only for 2027 to 2028 admissions. It must be stressed that the position does vary from year to year. The fact that children may have been admitted in the 2026 to 2027 academic year does not mean that children in the same category will be admitted in subsequent years.
