Integration Pathways team

Our team works countywide to support and reintegrate children and young people who have been permanently excluded from school. We work to secure full time educational provision as soon as possible following the exclusion. We also provide tailor-made programmes to prevent exclusion.

Who we work with

We work with children, young people and their families, as soon as we receive official notification that they have been permanently excluded from school.

We work with children and young people of compulsory school age who are at risk of exclusion.

How we work with a child or young person

If your child has been permanently excluded from school, we will provide multi-agency support to maintain their engagement with education while they are out of school, work with you to identify the most suitable next provision and support their integration until they are settled.

If your child’s school has requested a tailor-made programme to prevent exclusion, the team will provide a bespoke programme of education, including social and emotional learning and preparation for integration.

Contact us

If your child has been permanently excluded from school, you can contact the student services department of your local area education office, who will put you in touch with the people who can help you.
