We have some great courses that can especially help you to improve your health and wellbeing, including mental health and/or physical health

Physical activity has lots of benefits, it can:

Activities can help improve our mental wellbeing. We can start to feel more positive by learning new skills and meeting new people. Our courses can help you to:

Brightside: free friendly courses

Come along and take those first steps towards feeling positive through learning new skills. Develop your confidence in a friendly environment.

Brightside courses are normally 12 hours long, spread over a few weeks. They deliver a rich variety of practical and hands on skills, such as outdoor and creative activities, cooking and relaxation all in a friendly setting.

These free courses are available for anyone experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, or emotional distress. One in 4 of us go through this at some time in our lives. People can join Brightside as an individual or through a support group.

Some of the types of courses that we offer are:

  • healthy eating and cooking on a budget
  • creative journaling
  • Tai Chi
  • willow weaving
