We are holding 3 Youth Employment Support events next week where experts will be on hand to provide careers information, advice and guidance to help young people find local opportunities and support tailored to their needs.
The events will be held on:
- Monday 10 November 2025 from 11am to 4pm at Swadlincote Adult Education Centre
- Tuesday 11 November 2025 from 11am to 4pm at Chesterfield Library
- Thursday 1h November 2025 from 11am to 4pm at Ilkeston Library
One-to-one appointments are available with qualified and experienced advisers who can support young people to explore their options and access employment and training opportunities as well as explore support needs around health and wellbeing.
There’s no need to book in advance, young people can just drop in on the day.
Councillor Rob Reaney, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration, said:
“We know that some young people find it difficult to know what to do next after leaving full-time education. And some may have chosen a path which hasn’t worked out for whatever reason and are struggling to know what to do now.
“It’s not too late to find a new path and our qualified and experienced advisers are on hand to support young people to explore the options open to them, find employment and training opportunities and get back on the path to finding a fulfilling career.”
