Review of the Derbyshire Discretionary Fund

Status: Closed

Opens: 9 January 2019 - Closes: 31 January 2019

What this consultation is about

The Derbyshire Discretionary Fund (DDF) provides support for residents of Derbyshire in emergency or crisis situations, or who need help to cope with exceptional pressure and have no money of their own to help the situation. This kind of support was previously available from the Department of Work and Pensions as Crisis Loans and Community Care Grants and has been provided by local authorities since 2013.

We are currently looking at the experiences of people applying to the fund and the reasons people apply to us, and how the fund fits into other provision in Derbyshire. One of the principles of the DDF is to help those in greatest need and we are exploring whether what we currently offer meets this aim.

The relevant stakeholders will be contacted via email with a live link to the questionnaire.
