Donut Creative Arts Centre (DCAS) Chesterfield survey

Status: Closed

Opens: 14 September 2020 - Closes: 26 October 2020

What this consultation is about

We're seeking your views on the types of services offered from the Donut Creative Arts Studio (DCAS) (Chesterfield) building.

DCAS (pre-COVID) ran 4 weekly art and music based open access projects for young people, principally in the Chesterfield area. The aim was for young people to explore their creative and self-expressions in a safe environment. We're proposing to change the way DCAS operates as a result of a review of services. Children's services is proposing changes, including the possible closure, of the sessions that are delivered from DCAS, and passing the uses of the building over to Fairplay. More appropriate alternatives have also been identified in the local area.

This is in part due to the current financial climate. It is important to highlight that the services delivered within DCAS are not statutory and consequently we are not required to provide them.

This survey is for members or the public and education and organisation representatives. If you're a young person accessing DCAS, or want to submit your views on behalf of a young person, please complete the Donut Creative Arts Centre (DCAS) Chesterfield service user (young people) survey.
