Easter opening times

Here's all you need to know about using our services over the Easter break.


Call Derbyshire

Call Derbyshire will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday, except for urgent social care calls.

It will be open as normal for the rest of the Easter period including Easter Saturday.

Emergency contact

Call Derbyshire will take urgent social care calls outside of opening hours. Call Derbyshire also provides an emergency property service in relation to council buildings.

However, in a medical emergency, where a crime is being committed or there is a fire you should tel: 999.

County Hall, Matlock

County Hall will be closed on Good Friday, Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

Libraries

All Derbyshire libraries will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday but libraries that usually open on Saturdays will be open on Easter Saturday as normal.

Other council offices

These will also be closed on Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. Please check with area offices or other centres for opening times and to make an appointment on other days.

School term dates

You can see term dates for schools, although some schools have variations to these dates. Parents or carers are advised to contact the relevant school for confirmation of term dates and inset days.

Recycling centres - please only visit at Easter if vital

Our household waste recycling centres are open from 8.30am to 6pm every day over Easter.Find your nearest recycling centre.

Kerbside rubbish bin and recycling collections

Please check with your district, borough or Derby City Council for arrangements on bin and recycling collections over Easter. Don't forget that Easter egg foil and boxes and other Easter rubbish can go in your kerbside collection.
