From Thursday 5 November the Government has announced a month-long lockdown across the whole of England. From Thursday the new national lockdown rules will replace the current tier 2 high alert measures across the county. Stay safe – do it for Derbyshire.
County Hall in Matlock is a magnificent Grade II listed building in the middle of the beautiful Derbyshire countryside and is the perfect venue for your wedding day.
The building spent most of its life as ‘Smedley’s Hydro’ – a hydropathic hotel owned by Derbyshire industrialist and philanthropist, John Smedley but has been home to Derbyshire County Council’s headquarters since 1951.
The venue is licensed for civil weddings and partnerships and is suitable for small, intimate ceremonies or larger weddings complete with reception events.
The building sits in its own grounds and gardens and has spectacular views over the Derwent Valley.
