Find tailored employment support for veterans and members of the armed forces community in Derbyshire.

Explore local and national services that can help you prepare for work, find employment, develop new skills, and access ongoing support to achieve your employment goals.


  • Armed forces community Local hubs 
    These are local Derbyshire-based veteran hubs where veterans can meet support organisations, network, access advice and be signposted to employment services.
  • The Career Transition Partnership
    This is the Ministry of Defence’s official resettlement service. It provides career coaching, CV support, training, employer events and access to military-friendly vacancies. Support is generally available from up to 2 years before leaving the armed forces until 2 years after.
  • Connect to Work
    Find one-to-one employment support including vocational profiling, CVs, interview preparation, employer engagement, job coaching and in-work support.
  • The Disability Employment Service
    Free one-to-one support for disabled and neurodivergent adults, or those with a long term health condition, helping people access training, volunteering, work experience, in-work support, and paid employment.
  • The Forces Employment Charity - REFA 
    REFA have specialist employment advisers supporting veterans, reservists, and military families into civilian employment, including those with additional barriers to work.
  • Op FORTITUDE 
    A referral pathway for veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping them access employment and housing through specialist organisations.
  • Walking With The Wounded - employment programme 
    Specialist employment support for veterans facing complex barriers such as mental health difficulties, homelessness, or long-term unemployment. They offer personalised employment advice and ongoing support.
