Our compliance policy gives guidelines to make sure that we enforce the law in a fair and consistent way. It also specifies what action the service may take against traders and businesses that do not abide by trading standards legislation.
We welcome comments about the content of our compliance policy or the manner of its use by any officer. They are important in helping us continually monitor, review and shape the policy. They also help us to make sure that it remains current and meets legislative requirements.
