I started with Derbyshire County Council as an apprentice road worker and I am now a road worker/driver and I am part of the gritting rota.
I was originally attracted to the role as I wanted to learn new skills and help the community.
I like having a variety of jobs to complete throughout the week. Every job is different so you never know what you will come across throughout the day.
My colleagues are friendly and helpful. There are always opportunities to progress onto in my role.
I look forward to learning new skills and knowing that the work I have completed will improve the daily commute for the residents of Derbyshire.
