Making Every Contact Count is a national behaviour change programme. The programme involves health, social care and community organisations all working together.
It's about training the Derbyshire workforce to support residents and staff to make the most of opportunities to improve health and wellbeing. In Derbyshire the training approach for this is called 'quality conversations'.
Quality conversations training helps staff learn a range of skills to support people to make changes in their lives that are important to them. For some people that might mean getting more active. For some people this may mean making a phonecall to get housing advice.
Making Every Contact Count means that all staff working with the public have information on support to improve opportunities for health and wellbeing. This includes information about a wide range of things that impact people’s health such as finances and social support.
